HELLO! Cap-B's Official Entrance!

What better way to start this up than with an official greeting, “HELLLOOOO!!!” New Jersey native Gbenga Akinyemi also known as Cap-B is the newest upcoming artist creating a wave in the African Music Industry. Widely known as a member of musical trio DNB ‘Dem Naija Boys,’ Cap-B is known for his distinctive writing talent and incredibly unique dress style. With debut single ‘Hello’, Cap-B has proven that he can definitely handle a solo career. We have had the opportunity to watch this talent grow into his own skin as he is a constant support to fellow artists.

His new single ‘Hello’ seems to have attracted the attention of many as his lyrical talent and undeniable taste for good music is clearly skyrocketing his position in the music world. Considered the underdog by many, Cap-B has left disbelievers in a state of shock as he blends his love for music and his love for his Nigerian culture to create a smooth style of rhyming that appeals to both Africans and non-Africans. Aspiring to work with artists and producers such as General Pype, Shank, YQ, Docta Frabz, Souljah boy, Akon, T-pain, Red CafĂ©, Fabolous, and Cam’ron, Cap-B is Flying Above Boundariesand trying to make a name for himself, despite his initial cold feet, flying solo has definitely helped shape his music career in the right direction.

Don’t worry fans, there is no DNB beef, I repeat, THERE IS NO DNB BEEF, they are still one big family. Catch fellow DNB member, LP (the ladies man) at some of Cap B’s upcoming shows.

Making a point to stay true to himself this lyrical genius is definitely not a one hit wonder or a style biter, refusing to ride on the coat tails of fellow upcoming artists he allows his music to speak for itself as he continues to remain humble and humorous. Possibly the Eminem of Naija? Cap-B reminds his fans that his music is all about fun, keeping it comical and “coming left with it,” he’s one to stand out in a crowd.

For all you fashion addicts out there I know for a fact that you’ve noticed Cap-B’s unique dress style. Clothing line possibly in the works? Keep an eye out! This talent used to run an online sneaker store and is definitely open to branching out into fashion, so possible sponsors and investors get the check books out.

For all of those feeling Cap-B’s style check out the closets of musician Kanye West and pro-skateboarder Terry Kennedy (TK), both of which are on the list of Cap-B’s best dressed celebrities. Keeping it fly and unique is clearly second nature.

With an excellent support team which includes his right hand woman Jadesola ‘JayPee’, best friend Yogy Hype, DNB Manager Olu-money, Igwe, DJ DMoney of Naija DJ’s, LP and many more, it is clear that he is humbled to be surrounded by such supportive people. He does admit however that being signed to a label would help take some stress off his back, but nonetheless he is happy that his passion for music is being received positively by his many fans worldwide and with the help of websites such as mytruspot.com, sturvs.com, notjustok.com, timmynaija.com and underdarock.com, he is appreciative and content with his success to date.

Clearly the sky is the limit for Cap-B as we all look forward to more club bangers being released. HELLOOO!!!!!

And look out for his mixtape this summer!

"Shout outs from Cap-B: JQ, Leksai, Just n Kase, Yogy-hype, Olmy, Just n Credible, LP, JayPee, Olu-money, Hott Ice, D knights, Igwe, Kevin West, Ian Mills Miller, Naija DJ’s and the staff of FAB.
