Bridal Couture!!!

Judging from the number of engagements that took place last year I have a feeling that the upcoming Spring and Summer Seasons will be filled with nothing but Bridal Bliss! In lieu of this, FAB is celebrating the wonderful work and accomplishments of one of our favorite bridal designers, His name: Yemi Osunkoya, His art: Kosibah.

His love for fashion and bridal couture stemmed from his childhood days where he learnt to appreciate the world of fashion at many elegant events hosted in Nigeria.

FAB came across this mastermind through the grapevine as members of the fashion world awaited the unveiling of his line for the 2008 Fashion Expose hosted at Boston Fashion Week; and needless to say we were flabbergasted and have literally stalked his life and work ever since.

Established in London in 1991 Kosibah specializes in Bridal Couture and Evening Wear. With a wide range of clientele worldwide, Kosibah is proud of their ability to cater for all women regardless of size or shape. Yes ladies, that hourglass shape is attainable to all with Kosibah's clever usage of corsets, boned bodices and drapings.

His work has been celebrated and honored in Europe, Africa and The United States, gracing the Runways at Boston Fashion Week, Refet Afrique's Charity Fashion Show, The Asiana Bridal Show, Glasgow Fashion Week and many more. This past month Kosibah created one of the designs for the M-Net Face of Africa finalist competition, his finalist, Lukundo Nalungwe (pictured below), went on to win the Face of Africa Competition (Congratulations!).

Kosibah is anticipated to showcase more Couture Fabulousness at Africa Fashion Week New York and at The World Good Will Ambassador Catwalk Event hosted in Lagos on the 27th of March.

We applaud Kosibah as they continue to Fly Above Boundaries to ensure that from The Real Bride to The Catwalk, all eyes remain on the dashing bride in her moment of bliss.
