FAB alert! West Coast Music!

**Who is Meaku?

Who is Meaku? Is the exact question I had when my LA FAB dolls were talking a whole lot about the song "Nigerian American Idol" by Meaku ft. Sauce Kid. So like the curious person I am, I did some research...One word...FAB! It is highly possible that I am 2 years too late in discovering this talent, but it takes really good music to attract my attention. Singles include; Who is Meaku? She Like It. Swallow Your Words. Ladies, his voice is...to die for! Point blank.

FAB wishes Meaku good luck, as he prepares to shoot and launch the video for single "Nigerian Idol"

Stay tuned for the Video Launch....Coming soon (We hope)

**Video FAB from Sauce Kid!

Sauce Kid who has spent the past year plus in Nigeria has released yet another single off his highly anticipated album African American, the single is titled "Under G" and this might just be our favorite video from him to date. Looks like Mohits is taking over! FAB welcomes him back to the USA and as Sauce would say, 'Sinzu is Sinzu jo ooo'!

For the latest updates on these West Coast fellas follow them on twitter; http://twitter.com/Saucekibaba and http://twitter.com/meaku

And as Meaku would say God is Love.

Face Africa Gala

*Water; an essential to life, Clean Water; a scarcity in many parts of the globe*

Face Africa, a non profit organization focused on aiding African communities lacking the basic essentials for activities of daily living, recognized the need for Clean Water access to many communities within developing nations as a means to reduce the transmission of waterborne diseases and improve the overall health status and nutrition. In 2009 Face Africa initiated the Clean Water Project which included projects such as the installation of the Skyhydrant water pump in Barnesville, Liberia.

As the need for resources and assistance increases in Africa, Face Africa has built relationships with local organization within African Communities centered around the following four focus groups: Water & Sanitation, Education & Training, Health & Nutrition, and Economic Empowerment.

This past weekend all FABness was live in Taj Boston, USA. at Face Africa's First Annual Gala; A Clean Water Benefit. Spear-headed by founder of Face Africa; Saran Kaba Jones (pictured above), this benefit attracted the attention of many humanitarians across the nation such as famed former NBA player Dikembe Mutombo (pictured below). Founder of the Dikembe Mutombo Foundation, Mutombo aims to improve the quality of life for those in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Honoring the humanitarian work of Peter Thum (pictured below) in South Africa, this Gala celebrated the progress that such programs in Africa have achieved to date while also recognizing that Africa still has a long way to go.

FAB applauds Face Africa for achieving the goals of many fellow humanitarians who also aspire to not only gain awareness for the issues concerning Africa but also to achieve progress within the continent while impacting the lives of many children and civilians.

Wande Coal; US Promo Tour

Bumper to Bumper; State to State, March has clearly been the month of entertainment for our US based FAB readers! With the Mohits family in town this month we all had the chance to enjoy the music we love, live in Washington DC, Chicago, New York and Atlanta! On his promotional tour Wande Coal made sure to let us know that his fans are his number 1 priority, with a personality and energy that lights up the stage and musical talent that has silenced the critics, Wande Coal is clearly Flying Above Boundaries to cater to his wide audience.

Chicago Review

Hosted by Afrobeat productions Wande Coal arrived in the windy city, Chicago. With Naija DJ's DJ Fineboy and DJ D'Money on the 1s and 2s, Chicago set the tone for an overall positive tour, those who were unable to catch the show in Chicago found their way to New York so not to miss out on the great entertainment. According to those in the Chicago area they had a blast and had those in the tri-state area anticipating FABness.

New York Review

Ariya Ent. and Big Moose Ent. hosted Wande Coal's NY performance and despite torrential down pour and flooding in New York, fans made their way to C-Pac in Brooklyn to see Naija's finest. With a line up of opening acts the concert ended with Wande Coal performing his 4 hit songs including "You bad, you want it" The New York crowd was also blessed with the presence of none other than D'banj who came along to support his label brother. Despite the limitations of the chosen venue, Wande Coal made the best of the situation and had the crowd dancing to his hits; with an overall enjoyable evening NY/NJ fans look forward to seeing more performances from the Mohits family.

ATL Review

Jaguda.com hosted Wande Coal's ATL performance and with performances from Dr. Sid, "something about you" and Chief Capo, it's no wonder why many of the Naija DJ's flew out to ATL this weekend to support the Mohits family and fellow Naija DJ's. With DJ Mighty Mike (ATL) and DJ Neptune (Nigeria) on the 1's and 2's holding down the show, ATL definitely showed Wande Coal lots of appreciative love. The evening was filled with nothing but fun as ATLiens tweeted their enjoyment throughout the show, twitpics and all.

*FAB also wishes DJ Mighty Mike a Happy and blessed birthday*

Leaving with a bang Wande Coal has kept us all on our toes as we look forward to more hits and hopefully a reappearance in the Summer ;-)
