Herds of the Fathers

For the past few months I've had my eye on some talent that's been brewing at Rutgers University in New Jersey, and with good reason. Most students wait til after graduating with a Bachelor's degree that gets them that good old 9-5 job before they start thinking outside the box, however the dapper fellas of Herds of the Fathers clearly don't "flock with the herd" and are 10 steps ahead of the game. By practically turning their college apartments into their office/headquarters Herds of the Fathers CEO's Tobi Babajide and Jason Akoi are officially launching their Leather Accessory Collection on July 4th!

With a European/Old school feel, Herds of the Fathers has brought back a classy style for men of all ages in all fields of the game. Some pieces are perfect for those working in the corporate world looking merely for function, while other pieces are perfect for the college student/recent graduate trying to stand out in a crowd.

As much as Herds of the Fathers is focused on menswear; I can definitely see some of my ladies rocking a few of their pieces to add a bold feel to their look.

Making a point to avoid any trends, more information on this timeless collection is available at http://herdsofthefathers.com/

*Look out for the entire collection on July 4th*

Naija Video FAB

Nigeria is really bringing it hard this Summer; not only on the soccer field, but also in the music studio. With the recent loss of brother, friend and colleague Da Grin, YQ has stepped it up to yet another level and has put his heart into his music. FAB congratulates YQ on the release of his hit video, Dresscode, feat. Naeto C. and E-jay.

Also in the music corner we have the one and only 2face with his video for hit single, Implications, which is currently a favorite amongst our fellow Nigerians.

Last but surely not least we have to include Naeto C's FAB video for Ako Mi Ti Poju. Naeto C is known for always putting 100% effort into his music videos and producing the best quality videos Nigeria has seen in a while. We look forward to more work from "Mr. Kini Big Deal".

Seems like the gentleman's corner has been quite busy these past few months. Hopefully the ladies will be dropping some FAB stuff our way this summer...Stay tuned.

FAB would like to thank the Everblazing DJ Neptune for keeping us all in the loop when it comes down to hearing about the FAB work being produced out in Nigeria. Special thanks also goes out to the entire Coalition of Nigerian DJ's family. Look out for all their mixtapes dropping this Summer!!!

Polka Dot Cruise 2010

Last night,11:11 NYC and N-Unite's collaborative efforts pulled off one of the classiest Summer Kick Offs the East Coast has seen in a while (well since last years annual polka dot cruise). As FAB had predicted the event was a complete success with the East Coast's finest coming out to enjoy a ride around New York City in style.

With refreshments and appetizers being served all night, the tickets were worth every dime as stated by many guests. Although some had their doubts as to how FAB such an event could be, these two teams proved their ability to host a lovely boat ride two years in a row. For many this was their 2nd year attending PDC and for others it was their first time; all of which agreed however that this event would be a tough one to top!

Despite threats of possible showers the weather ended up being great with everyone showing up in their black & white swag. A drama free event, with 4 DJ's on 2 floors; what more could you ask for?

FAB thanks 11:11 NYC , N-Unite and our lovely boat crew for hosting such a great evening as we look forward to next years trademarked Polka Dot Cruise!

(Many thanks to Rasheed of House of Naija for the images)
*Fisayo and I hope you all enjoyed those Jello-Shots ;-)

See you all at next year's PDC!
Please leave a comment and let the promoters hear you so they can cater to you!
Stay FAB,
