A Natural Hair Story

This Sunday I am Shining the spotlight on some fabulous women who are flaunting their natural locks and sharing their story with the world. I love that people are really embracing the many ways in which we can style our hair while doing minimal damage.

For anyone who is considering giving up the creamy crack, get educated and learn about the chemistry of your natural locks before you embark on this journey. (Kimmaytube on http://www.youtube.com/ is a great place to start)

My personal advice to all my dolls whether your hair is permed, natural, weaved up or braided; keep it well moisturized and protected with a great conditioning regimen :-) As someone who has always been natural I am forever trying new products that will keep my hair healthy and strong. I love my weaves but I also love the fact that I have the option to rock a FAB hairstyle with my own hair (yes fellas I have a full head of hair under these tracks). Like I tell my friends, take care of those locks of yours, experiment while you're young but try your best not to do irreversible damage, and do not underestimate the power of a great conditioning and hot oil treatment in between styles especially in the wintertime. I am no cosmetologist but I know what works well for me and I don't like to brag but uhmm ya I've got that Good Hair ;-)

Good Luck to all my dolls who are about to make the 'Big Chop' and welcome to the DARK SIDE #EVL.
